Ice Bags
Ice bags come in 5, 6, 9, and 11 inches.
11 inch ice bags
CVS Pharmacy sells its brand name 11 inch long ice bag. Too big for a helmet or hat. The size is OK to place over a body part such as an abdomen. Since the ice bag has no straps, moving would make this clay pack fall off. Clay remains wet.
9 inch ice bags
Walmart sells a 9 inch ice bag manufactured by Mueller. It has a TPU liner. TPU is thermoplastic. Mueller does not manufacturer a 11 inch or six inch ice bag. This ice bag has not leaked but the slurry dries out somehow. Twice, I had to refill the bag with water and knead the bag to make slurry. Thermoplastic is not supposed to wick. This bag wicks. What percentage of thermoplastic does the lining have?
Six inch ice bags
This six inch ice bag has a thermoplastic lining. Clay remains wet:
Fill the ice bags two inches deep.

Dimensions of PureSiliconeWare's bag are 7.7” X 9.8” X 3.8”
Recycled water bottles
The diameter of the neck of plastic recycled water bottles and recycled milk jugs is too small to pour thick slurry into or push torn off pieces of clay.
Gasoline tanks
The diameter of neck of five gallon gasoline tanks is OK.
Instructions
Working with clay makes a mess. Work in the backyard next to a garden hose. Bring a large cooking pot, sponge and an old towel. Clay sticks to jewelry and clothes. Remove jewelry. Wear old clothes.
Pinch off pieces of clay and put them into the cooking pot. Pour water in the pot. Soak the clay in water over night. Knead the clay inside the pot to make a slurry with the water. Soak over a second night. Knead the clay inside the pot until the consistency is a very thick slurry. Pour into an ice bag or plastic food containers or plastic tote container.
Since your brain is vital, add a lot more clay than water in the ice bag. For your arms, legs and torso, you could add more water. Clay absorbs a lot of water. Several days later, examine the containers, ice bags or Fomentek bag. If they need more water, add water.
Red clay and terra cotta (reddish brown) clay stain. They stained my white pillow protectors, pillow case , sheet, ice bag and clothes. Gray, white and black clay do not stain. If you do not finish your project in one day, wear the same dirty clothes when you resume this project. Clay sticks to hands, clothes and towels. Scrub your hands with a wet sponge.
Laundry detergent does not remove clay. Prior to doing the laundry, scrub the clay off clothes and towels with a wet green scrubber or a wet sponge and water. Pour rubbing alcohol into a spray bottle. Spray the stains. Scrub the stains with a damp sponge. Wash in washing machine.
