Can you have real shit stuff even if you acetone wash it?

I have acetone washed my stuff, it's really grainy and I think it's very inferior to my last stuff, is it the case that your powder can be made to real bad quality even if it's 100% pure, the old stuff was thicker and yellow, this stuff is white grains, it doesn't even taste like the old stuff.
