Stream of Annihilation, day 2. Play by play post!

Since u/LexieJeid did a wonderful job yesterday with his play by play post i thought we could keep it up for todays stream aswell.

I will do my best with any new information that will be announced in todays stream and edit this post during the stream, but feel free to add anything i missed.

Im trying to keep it in order. Im in a different time zone than the stream so timestamps will be a bit hard, i will add when the enouncement starts but it wont be much difference from the schedule posted.

DAY 2

[10:00 am] We are live!

Recap of what tomb of annhiliation is, its a story about death and how you can avoid it. Focus on humor and death.

Its a tale of survival, its tougher than previous adventure books, but can be scaled up or down depending on group preferences.

You will try to save people suffering from some sort of curse (the one we saw in the perkins game?) , as you go deeper in to the jungle you should get the feeling of "we cant go back, but forward its only the jaws of death" -Chris perkins. It should be scary for players.

Perkins mentins that the book has a focus on discovery, with lots of options for DMs in the book for instance, Pterafolks, red wizards and dinosaurs.

Mearls mentions that its fun to update old stuff to new players/editions, and how old stuff can be reused.

Interviews about how it is to DM live games/streams with mearls and perkins and the differences.

Chris perkins added these to his twitter, seems to be posters from the neverwinter expansion related to Tomb of Annihiliation.

New announcement!!!! Xanthars guide to everything!!!!

November product, Xanthars guide to everything!! Roughly 200 pages, all stuff that they felt was left out in the original core books, focus on new tools and toys for dungeon masters.

All classes gets three new subclasses, ecxept wizard that gets 1 new subclass reasoning for this is that they already have alot of subclass options. Might be two subclasses each based on crawfords twitter, wizards still only get 1 though. The subclasses are the ones that ranked highest in the UAs. The new DM tools includes new rules for downtime, new traps and a revisited trap system, also something about flying, didnt catch if it was flying monsters or options for flyings or rules related to flying. New trap system is more of a formula than a system. The book is released November 10 in FLGS, November 21 worldwide. There will be a special edition cover, just like volos. The special edition cover seems to be the leaked poster from yesterday, covers.

It was unclear if the special cover will be limited to only FLGS or not.

[12:00 pm] Interview with Mike Mearls and Shelly Mazzanoble from Avalon Hill.

Talking about the boardgame Betrayal at House on the Hill, and comparing it to DnD since they both share a exploration and cooperation aspect.

New game from Avalon Hill called Betrayal at Baldurs Gate, set in Baldurs Gate. It will feature classical DnD monsters like Mind flayers, vampires, minotaurs as well as classical artifacts like the sphere of annihilation.

Depending on time of day you get different events for example dragon attacking the city. More tiles and different tile look than from the original game.

Classes/races based of DnD stuff, each class/race gets a unique ability.

You start in the elfsong tavern.

You dont need to know anything about DnD or the lore to play the game.

Betrayal at Baldurs gate is released October 6!

According to the twitch chat the DM screen Matt Mercer used in the Girs, guts, glory game is the new DM screen comming out sometime this summer. Havent found any confirmation (yet) for this though.

Gale Force 9 will release a new DM screen (the one most of the DMs in the stream has been using) in september. Thanks u/Angelflavor u/kogarou and u/sabata2

Curse of Stradh has been added to Roll20 , they already have LMoP, TftYP, SKT.

[6:00 pm] Interview with galeforce 9.

New figures include goblins that can stack and paladin riding a raptor. Sadly no t-rex vomiting zombies. There is also a guy who has 2 large spiky shields (which look like bulwark of azzinoth from wow) like this?, a 2 figure set of a ogre and his disguise which is a halfling mage. Thanks u/Angelflavor

Thanks to friendly Twitcher @Kmj9907, "GF9 will release new dm screen in September. They'll have paladin riding velociraptor, t-rex vomiting zombies, and stacking masked goblin minis" Dragon Friends talked about a series starting July 7/early July. Thanks u/kogarou

The twitch user @Kmj9907 sent me a link with a few of the minis and it looks like the giant with 2 shields is the one from volos. The T-rex mini isnt confirmed though.
