As title says, my heart was gently broken by a Japanese woman, living in the US 10+ years. Occasionally she'd send short phrases I could easily translate.

There were a couple times she sent something "with changed kanji so I couldn't figure it out" and that's why I'm posting. Perhaps if I'd tried sooner things may have been different.
