help with photo printer

Hi all. This is my first post here. I am having problems with my new hp photosmart 325 printer. The images are printing but down the centre or the image the colour changes from normal to slightly dark leaving half of the image fine and the other half darker than it should be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
