[Rant] Mom does NOT like the internet.

So I live in bumfuck nowhere in the middle of Cali, lots of nice people close by, peaceful rural area, but it's very sparse. I have a tough time with the kids at school, and there's certainly nobody I'm interested in. So I decided to look around a bit online. I was digging on Steam and Kik and stuff and found a few cool dudes and decided to chat some. One night I was on the phone and got caught laughing it up with a boy. My aunt who's living with us heard me in the other room across the hall and scolded me. She ratted me out to Mom, and then Mom gave me an hour lecture on how dangerous the internet is, and how anyone could be a predator and all that. And she was right, really, it just really hit me hard because my ventured in real life have not amounted to anything. I live in a really small latino catholic town, so my odds here are very slim, albeit not impossible, I'm just awkward as shit. School hasn't yielded anything either, and now that school's up, that window's closed till August anyway. I feel very alone. I love my family and friends very very much, but something's just missing. I feel right now like I gotta wait until college, which is at least 2 years down the road. I'm not hella sad about this, I just wish someone or something will show up. Sorry for the ramble, it's my first post here, but I had to get this out.
