Worth fixing up old Panasonic hifi speakers? What will I need?

Hi, I have a Panasonic sa-pm03 hifi that I got for nothing. I'm planning on replacing the main unit with a little lepai as its stuck on an EQ and I've lost the remote. This is only for a PC setup and sounds pretty good, to me. Much better than the Logitech Z506 system I also have. When no EQ the bass is really impressive for a speaker this size and they just generally sound pleasant. They're the perfect size for my desk too.

Only main issue is that the foam on the left speaker has deteriorated which doesn't make much difference currently as I'm using them with a sub but it will need replacing. The drivers are 4" and 6Ohm. I found this driver for £3 which seems very similar. I opened one of the speakers before and the holes look like they'd match fine. Would it be a good idea to try this? It's not too much money to waste anyway. Should I do both or just risk it and hope they sound similar?

Would it be worth switching out the tweeters too? This is cheap and would fit but would it be an improvement over the paper one already there? I'd have to get rid of the deflector which may not look as good? I think I'd be better off leaving the tweeters.

Also, how would I go about painting/wrapping them? They're some beach wood colour now and I'd like to change them to black to fit with everything else. What would be the best and cheapest way to do this?

tl;dr - what can I do to fix/improve these speakers? The sound fine to me and were free so don't really want to spend loads on a new set. One driver 100% needs replacing.
