Deployment Prep; Active Duty Fraud Alert & other considerations
Looking for anyone with experience, advice, or opinions on doing an active duty fraud alert. I will be deploying this fall and out of country for 7 months. I'm looking to balance protecting my credit, personal information, and assets, with ensuring that my wife isn't put in a bind while I'm out.
Naturally, unless given a SPA I wouldn't expect she'd have a reason or right to open anything in my name--is there a downside to using this type of service? Would a freeze be used in conjunction, or instead of a service like this? I've never had either issued.

I don't have a ton of experience setting up for family and protecting self on deployment--most of my experience is as a single Airman, where I could pack up and collect BAH. I'm open to any an all deployment related financial advice. I'm setup for SDP already
