Old webcam pcb, repurpose for Pi?
Long story short my friend offered me an old webcam he used back when winXP was current. The catch was it was just the camera pcb itself as he threw out the plastic shell after he "cut the usb cable for a longer phone charger".
I want to know if it is possible to repurpose this for the RPi (Currently using the rpi 3 model b). I know it should at least be possible to connect it as it was a usb conection, but would like a tip or two for where to start. I plan to use it to stream standard-low quality video so I can see whatever my pi sees.
Note: the small 2 pin connector at the top was for a small button. I also think he told me it was a Logitech webcam, small white sphere in shape with a rubber tri-leg stand. He doesn't know the model or anything.
Thanks!
EDIT: Have it working without need for drivers with fswebcam now (couldn't get driver to make anyways) , so it works and is connected! For what I need it to do it's fine although I will probably try to figure out a way for fswebcam to not force it to be 352x292 res, v4l2 seems to point to it as Discrete 353x292 though...
