literary novel that begins by narrator dissecting the pros and cons of 1st or 3rd person narrative to tell his story
I read it when I was a student and can't remember what the hell it was. It basically begins with an apology from the writer, apologising for telling the story in the 1st person, that it was a selfish decision, that the story would be improved by a telling in the 3rd. Any ideas?
