Upgrading from a G3258

My Pentium G3258 is bottlenecking my GTX 1070 in almost every application, and I would like to upgrade. I have narrowed down my options to the R5 1600, which would cost $230 for the Motherboard, CPU, and Ram after selling my old parts, and the i5 4670k, which would cost $110 after selling my old CPU. Which one should I buy? I use Linux, and the games I play are Dota 2 and War Thunder.
