What's the deal with BG's?

Is everyone just running premades or what's the deal? I've done literally upwards of 20 bg's now and lost every damn one. Idk if I have the absolute worst luck possible in this game and it's only giving me people who have never done PvP or if everyone's just in groups with people they know. The only reason I bought morrowind was in hope some life would be breathed into PvP since you know...the only PvP content we've gotten since release was mini cyrodiil. Then to boot ZoS did nothing about tanks so that's fantastic. Trying my best in the world to keep this civil, but I'm quite displeased. It's easy enough to look at my stats and just go okay, the problems obviously me I need to improve somewhere, but when you're top of the charts every time? You kinda lose your patients.
