I just had my "holy shit I love this game" moment

So I have been playing this game on and off since beta (the first time I played the HWM didnt even have a repost) and never had an experience this intense. I went into a warrents vet dungeon to get a new hellion up to 5 so she can go to champion dungeons. A simple 100% room battles quest. I was running PD, OCC, H, HWM. Started out everything was by the books, no major hangups just eradicating swine left and right. My Hellion got bad humors but I was running the cure on my PD so no biggie. I run into a shambler altar and figured "eh ill go back to it if the quest goes well." well the quest went amazingly and I even had a campfire left over to prep for the shambler. I light up the altar and this is probably the part where you are thinking "oh Trigunesq is about to get destroyed." well i defeated the shambler with ease thanks to all the stun chance I ran on my PD. a little stress but no big deal. well i had plenty of loot lying around the dungeon so i figured I might as well pick it up. I did a few more battles I had left in the hallways to get loot, started replacing the provisions with loot, running low light to increase the loot. My team was running out of HP but who cares? HP refills at the end of quests anyway. Well I just have one more hallway battle left before I get out and SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER another shambler is the final battle. My team was low on HP, no supplies (obligatory "packs laden with loot are often low on supplies"), but at least I had low stress. I wanted to run away but the rest of the dungeon had gone so well....so I didnt. Good stuns by the PD first round but the shambler's protection and the fact that I had to waste time unfucking up my team position made it a wash. Fist move the shambler blights my entire team. The hellion and HWM are trying their best to take out the shambler while the PD stuns and the OCC heals and debuffs. Still things werent going well. my OCC and HWM were on deaths door and blighted and bleeding. I managed to get the shambler to 30 hp and my HWM crits for 26! OCC finishes off the shambler with tentacles from the sky. My hellion stuns the spores and the hwm defies deaths door to kill one and prior blight from the PD nabs the other. I end the battle with two on deaths door, blighted and bleeding and the other two hurting bad. No boss has ever gotten my heart pumping like this run. I can get ready for bosses, but shamblers are a different story.

TL/DR: Went into dungeon. Destroyed a shambler. decide to run around a bit for more loot. overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer. Fight another shambler. somehow win.
