[BF4] Holding breath with snipers (PC)

Foes anyone change their keybinding for holding breath because a lot of the time i feel like holding your breath doesnt work. Are there any requirements you have to do in order to hold your breath (not be moving, must be 2 seconds after aiming etc)?
