Movement hack - Fighting right hand dominant hitscan players

News & Discussion

This really applies to PC, not so much console.

It's safe to say that the majority of people use their mouse with their right hand.

I watched a YT video about a hitscan player sharing his aim training. He practiced flicking to the left and then the right, and mentioned that he was weaker flicking to the right side. I had never really thought about that.

I would agree that flicking to the right as a right handed player is harder than flicking left.

Therefore, if you are facing off against a hitscan player, it is more advantageous to circle around to your left (their right).

Obviously you should still be strafing back and forth, not making a continuous movement to the side.

Carving a general circle to your left will give you a slight advantage.

This doesn't mean that you should go in game and just run around people to the left exclusively. There will be many situations where it's better to go the other way. It's just something to keep and mind and use to your advantage.
