Is it possible to receive post from a Post Office in Pula?

I'm going on holiday to Pula in Croatia and I need to receive a letter whilst i'm there, however as I don't know where I will be staying and most likely wont be stay at the same hotel through out my visit I need an address to get it posted too.

A person on trip adviser forum suggested getting it posted to the literal post office in Pula and putting my name on it, and collecting it using an ID.

I need a second opinion to see if this would actually be possible and work?
