Weird dream about being on a boat heading to Phoenix, Arizona

So in my dream, I was trying to go home. I was maybe about 50 or so miles away from home, and had to cross water. Instead of driving or hitchhiking or taking the bus, I decided to take up this ferry service that I had found.

There was one guy driving the ferry, and the ferry was absolutely tiny. In fact, it could only carry five or so passengers and was more like a small boat. So here I was, on a small boat with a bunch of strangers.

After the ferry took a while and didn't seem to be getting me closer to my destination, I asked where it's really going. The driver said Phoenix, which in real life is over 1000 miles away. I asked how it's possible to take a boat to a city in the middle of the desert, and he showed me that the boat had wheels for driving on land.

I told him that my destination is nowhere close to Phoenix, Arizona. So he told me that he could drop me off on the way there, but he wasn't going to take me straight to my house. I accepted this, since I didn't have any other options.

I then became annoyed as the boat took long stops in places that didn't interest me. I wasn't there to get a tour; all I wanted was to get back home. And then my dream ended without me ever getting home. What could all this mean?
