Just found this place

I just found this sub and I think I'm just going to make myself at home if it's all the same to you guys. I'm turning 30 this year, am a SAHM, and quit smoking a couple years ago. Since then I've become a food addict. In the last 2ish years, I've gained around 25 pounds that I'm desperate to lose but I always end up sabotaging myself. It's like I'll eat a healthy snack and the next thing I know I'm waking up 3 hours later, naked, and covered in fruit snack wrappers like a damn werewolf but with snacks. I don't even realize I'm overdoing it until it's done, and then comes the guilt. So here I sit with my ass expanding despite my efforts at putting the kibosh on it. I don't know how to break the addiction since it's not like other addictions. I managed to quit smoking because I gave it up cold turkey. My body didn't need it. Apparently there's no healthy way to do that food since we actually need it.

So there it is. I'm new here, addicted to stuffing my face, and not sure how to stop. There's my vent and if anyone has anything constructive to say, I'm all ears.
