Fortress disappeared

I am pretty new to Supremacy so I don't know if this happens but when I checked the game I was playing this morning, a level 3 fortress I built disappeared. It was there last night, now it is gone and I have to start rebuilding from level 1. I wasn't attacked or anything, literally is just disappeared from my city.
