Accruing/using leave questions

Couple of questions about active duty leave:

1. What day of the month is leave earned?

2. If I want to take a 6 day leave, but only have 4 days accrued, BUT the day that I would earn 2.5 more days would be in the middle of when I'm taking leave, how would I handle that?
