Balancing my Legacy Cube: Blue/White Control Keeps going 3-0
I'm about 10 drafts into my first cube, which is as far as I can tell a pretty generic Legacy cube. I wanted to draft Opposition and Mind Twist, and in order to keep those cards at least somewhat balanced, I feel like a lot of the other inclusions are obligatory. It's been a lot of fun to play, but blue/white control has won the majority of the drafts we've done, and I'm looking for tips on balancing things. Some details:
- I don't run planeswalkers. I feel they would only make control better, and I don't want cards like Balance to become overly powerful.
- There is a reanimator deck, but I wanted to make it more of a value reanimator deck as opposed to a combo reanimator deck, so there is no Entomb, no Reanimate. Still plenty of ways to pitch bombs from your hand and bring them back to life. The value/Living Death deck is probably the second best in the cube, as far as I can tell.
- I have all of the good mono-red cards I can think of, but RX aggro/burn just always seems to fizzle. What am I missing?
- As you can see I'm including plenty of one drops and aggro payoff cards like Armageddon, but the aggro deck also never comes together, and all the cheap aggressive creatures go last in every pack, pretty much. Are there key cards I'm missing here, or is it just that everyone in my playgroup doesn't know how to (or doesn't want to) draft aggro?
- Finally, is WU actually overpowered? I'd prefer to make the other colors stronger instead of hamstringing the Azorious deck.
Here is the cube on CubeTutor. On the blog tab you can see pictures of some of the 3-0 decks.
Thanks in advance!
