Should people get away with accusing other people falsely ( as found by the court) of rape??

I know the defendant had some level of anonymity in this case but in his local area, chances are people would have know. I strongly believe if you accuse someone of a crime and withdraw the accusation or if it goes to court and the court finds the person not guilty then the accuser should be punished. I'm not sure if prison time makes the defendant whole again, but it might deter morning after remorse after consensual sex. Maybe a fine of 5,000 euro in total or something that is deducted from income stream over 4 or 5 years. That is probably too lenient given the potential reputation damage to the defendant.
I think what this woman did is damaging to the defendant and to society as a whole, because if a woman or a man actually is raped, some people, juries, judges and the public will have cases like the above in the back of their minds and there will be doubt about the integrity of the accuser due to liars like the woman in the above case.
so fucked up
rant over
