Arena testing: special metals
After previous testing I did to determine which was better for blunt-reducing armor, steel or candy, (it was, surprisingly, candy) I have been wondering for a while what is the "best" metal to armor against blunt attacks vs candy and procedural metals, as density has a lot to do with it, and the effectiveness of various weapon materials. After some short arena testing, 10v10, I have discovered that procedurally generated metals are better than candy at blocking blunt attacks from a steel war hammer. Testing involved 10v10 candy armor vs procedural metal armor, competant armor use, hammer, fighter, shield user skills, and a second 6x6 run on the survivors. In both cases, survivors overwhelmingly were those armored in divine materials, with over half of the divine material group surviving, even injured from the previous battle, with 6 surviving in divine materials from the 10v10 and 3 surviving from the 6v6.
In another set of tests, I was curious which were more effective as blunt weapons, the procedural weapons or steel. In this test, steel hammers won two 10v10 melees where both sides were outfitted in procedural metals, the first time with three survivors, and the second with three survivors.
