I am LC and planning to go NC sometime in the next year. What are important things i should be doing as I prepare? What should I plan for?

What should I be doing as I prepare for NC? I've already done a few basics, like getting a separate bank account and locking down my credit. What else should I think of? What useful advice do you wish you'd gotten when you were preparing to go NC?

A little about my situation: I'm 26, living in the US. I am a wheelchair user and I have a dog. It's taking me a little while to go NC because of financial reasons, but I'm determined to get there. My plan includes moving to another part of the country. Ndad is a crazy, violent, stalker-y type.
