Age to buy tobacco around Myrtle Beach?

Coworker is going to Myrtle Beach with some friends for a week and leaves today but was freaking out about whether or not he should stock up here in Ohio. He's 18, but I know some places are 21 to buy tobacco. Just trying to get this confirmed 👍
