Has anyone else passed their 1hr glucose test but had sugar show up in their urine?
I'm at 30w and the past two appointments there were noticeable levels of sugar in my urine despite me passing the 1hr glucose test. My midwife asked if I'd be willing to test my blood sugar 4 times a day and I said yes because it's worth it. So far all of my blood sugar readings have been well within the normal range.
I know I ate a bowl of frosted mini wheats and an apple about an hour and a half before I gave them a urine sample the other day. I cannot remember what I ate the first time my urine showed sugar.
My midwife is concerned I might actually have GD and wants to be extra safe due to me being so short I would have difficulty having a 10lb baby.
I have gained a bit more this month than what I feel I should have gained (out of commission for walks due to illness, busted rib, jacked up my toe, all one after another) but thankfully I'm measuring normally.
Does anyone know why my body might be doing this? Is this something that I should get checked out after I have my baby or is it just common in pregnancy?
