How good is Skellige in ranked?

Right now I've noticed that NG and MO seem to be dominating the meta along with Spell'tael. Since closed beta I personally have been leaning towards SK, I really enjoy how the faction is themed. I have a deck that has quite a decent winrate in casual and I'm about to unlock level 10. Now, I have around 2.5k scraps stashed from CB kegs and I'm quite tempted to craft a couple SK golds (like The Wild Boar) and a few silvers to be able to experiment with the faction. I'm a bit concerned though that I could be making the wrong call here. I don't have much spare time on my hands to be able to easily grind back 2k scraps, nor do I want to splash out more on kegs. Hence the post, would appreciate the insight of people currently on the ladder. Also I already have the key SK golds like Coral and Lugos, which make the idea of developing SK only more tempting.
