Jokic 3 point range

Jokic shot 55% between 16ft and the 3pt line last year(10% of his total attempts), but only 32% from 3 pt range. Why do you think his shooting efficiency drops off so hard, and do you think that he has the potential to be shooting around 40% as early as next year?

Keep in mind that his shooting improved dramatically from everywhere inside the three point line between his rookie and sophomore years.
