Is scorched earth worth it?

I've played ark for over a year now, and it has its frustrations but overall I still really enjoy it. I enjoy the island and the center and I was wondering for those that have the expansion, do you think it's worth spending $20 on? Are the new engrams and Dinos interesting? Is the map fun? I play both single player solo and on multiplayer servers, what's the SE experience like on both? Thanks again!
