The encroaching threat: Biters. I request aid.

Hello, r/factorio.

As my base gets bigger, and I expand my land, I have noticed biters are getting closer and closer at a rapid speed.

I've set up a few turrets, but I am militarily weak, having not researched any weaponry or the like beyond Turrets I.

Is there any fast, temporary way of holding back the oncoming tide of Biters while I arm myself?
