Revisiting Firefox.

I've been in the privacy mindset for many years, ever since facebook took off a decade ago (though I know data mining and collection has been happening much longer than that).

So i ditched chrome and reinstalled firefox. It works, but its much slower compared to chrome, which led me to the whole debate between convenience and data collection.

Is there any way to speed up firefox, or make it play as well with some sites as chrome/chromium does?

I have many addons installed in firefox and have changed the multiprocess settings, and increased the process count to 4.

I'm stuck in between, now, whether or not I should just use chrome with privacy addons, or stick with firefox and re-evaluate all the tech in my life. The farther I go down the rabbit hole, the more I learn that if someone wants to know about you bad enough, they can figure it out. With that being said, is it a pointless fight and make it harder (not impossible) for that to happen, and live without the conveniences? (I have done a proper threat analysis, and I very much don't approve of shadow profiles and googles collection of me).

Asking for a friend.
