Help with hand touching other strings?

Hey everyone :) I've been having a lot of trouble with this lately and was hoping some other people might be able to relate: when I'm playing on the G string, playing an E natural doesn't make the E string ring, because my hand is touching it.

I've experienced arm and shoulder pain from trying to contort my arm and hand in a way that resolves this issue, but I haven't had any luck. If any one else here has had this problem and knows a remedy, would you please let me know?
