Mt tallac hiking conditions?

I'm flying from Boston to Tahoe for 2 days. When I made plans for this vacation last year, I was planning on hiking Mt tallac and exploring emerald Bay.

Im sitting in the airpprt terminal and I looked at snow and trail conditions, I'm worried that these activities might not be feasible anymore.

I've got a fair amount of winter hiking experience in the White Mountains of nh, but none on the west coast.

I have boots, long pants, rain coat, fleece, hat and thin gloves, and poles. But I left my ice axe, microspikes, crampons, gaiters and down jacket at home.

Right now I am planning on buying microspikes and gaiters at an rei when I land.

Any input would be appreciated, but I'm boarding the plane soon, so will be incommunicado.

Worst comes to worst, I'll just hang out around the hotel and take in the more pedestrian sights.
