Opportunity to buy 2004 Infiniti G35, with a problem
My 1980 Jeep CJ5 has finally crapped out on me. One of the cylinders lost compression(EDITED BELOW), so I'm pretty much screwed. Anyway, so I have the opportunity to buy an 2004 Infiniti G35 for 5200 out the door. The salesman is a nice guy I've had dealings with in the path, and know him to be extremely trust worthy. Overall, the car is stunning. Everything inside and out works like a charm, the bose is crisp and clear, no sag in the shocks, idles and drives beautifully, no build up in the rear wheel wells, the auto shifts like a dream. It does have a few wear and tear things such as a tear in the carpet and a tear in the seat, as well as a few scratches and dings, but that's fine.
What I'm worried about is that it has 191000 miles, and the guy told me the only real problem with it is a rear main seal leak. It is very minuscule, and in fact I didn't even see any leak from the 30 minutes I had with the car. I recognize that this is an expensive fix, but I want to know if this should deter me from buying the car?
EDIT: Just rechecked the CJ, still has compression in the cylinder. Probably just something small I'm missing
