Reaching those 10 000 steps; ideas, motivation and inspiration?
A lot of members on the team (me included) have a goal of reaching over 10 000 steps every day. For a lot of people, this can be a challenge, there's not enough hours in the day, you are reliant on car to get around due to distance/ area not suitable for walking. Some of us walk a lot at work, but are exhausted when we get home.
I thought it would be nice if people would like to share their walking habits and motivation; and how you overcome the call of the sofa.
Personally, I like to download podcasts and go for an hour walk before bed. It helps me sleep. (I live in a safe(?) european capital, and have no qualms about walking about alone after 10 in the evening.) Right now, I am enjoying "No such thing as a fish", the QI teams podcast. With this, the hour passes very quickly, although I might look a bit loony going around smiling for myself.
