A kind of sad question

So I just realized something. At the end of the game, Trico has lost his tail, and even one of his eyes. The boy himself says he doubts he will live. Flash forward to the after credits scene and we see what everyone appears to be Trico and a child. However, both Trico's in the room have 2 eyes. Trico lost one of his. Does that mean that Trico came back and had a child with the other Trico that was still alive and then died? Leaving only the other Trico and the new baby?
