Questions on Father and Son

Does The Son have a spirit of his own and The Father have a spirit of his own that are so connected they are one? Or does The Father have a spirit and The Son is The Word that proceeds from that spirit when The Father speaks? I would think it would have to be the second, otherwise The Father would be a spirit that depended on another spirit to speak everything He says. So there is just one spirit there in the literal sense. The Word is a person so since there is just one spirit there, the person of Jesus must be God as well. Otherwise how do you explain that The Word of a spirit is an actual person? The person who is The Word would have to be the person who is the spirit otherwise who would the Word be? This is just how I see it I know some religions will disagree with me, but I'm trying to make sense of it. Is anyone following what I said or is it a bit too confusing?
