CSGO is kind of a 'pay to become better' game now
Unlike other games, MM in csgo is quite pointless, getting highest rank probably just means now you can go to third party services to play with better players and pro players. But you have to pay to use these services.
There is no way you can improve your skill level in MM, because even you are in GE, the players you play against are not close to pro players' level at all which means being a CSGO pro player will be very difficult or even impossible.
I understand the monthly subscription is not that expensive but thing is why do I have to pay? Isn't the chance of everyone becoming a better player or pro player in esport games should be the same?
Unfortunately, it is probably too late for Valve to do anything now, I don't think ESEA or FPL players with give up the prize pool there and come back o the shitty MM. Unless, Valve decide to copy the idea of the Overwatch's contender league.
I am not blaming ESEA or Faceit, they actually did a good job helping to grow the competitive sense and keeping it alive. I just dislike the idea of you have to pay to become better.
