Evidence for the last known phone call?

Self explanatory I have always heard that EAR phoned up a potential victim/possible victim around the early 90s, threatening the lady whom heard kids and a lady in the background. What is the evidence for this? Not sure if I have glossed over it before or not but also couldn't the background noise be attributed to the TV or next door being too loud. Is the recording out there?
