The Demise of Blackburn Rovers

I wouldn't imagine Blackburn have a huge following on here. Not a fashionable team, no European pedigree, vaguely recalled as that team who "bought the league" before Chelsea and Man City did the same.

For those not in the know, Blackburn Rovers were recently relegated to the third tier of English football. This plummet from Premier League mid-table mainstays (think modern day Stoke City) can largely be traced to the acquisition of the club by the Indian company, Venky's.

The brfcs fansite is publishing an in-depth account of the woeful mismanagement of the club at all levels during Venky's stewardship. As a Rovers fan, I am obviously the target audience but there may be nuggets of interest for fans of all teams.

I'm relatively new to r/soccer and may be misjudging this post a few hours before the Champions League final is due to kick off, but I imagine there may be solidarity to be found in any fans of Charlton Athletic, Portsmouth, Leyton Orient, Blackpool and far too many other clubs...
