Scheduling question

Hi I'm a transfer coming into Rutgers this year. Have any other transfers met with their advisers for scheduling yet? I got an email saying i should meet with my adviser on July 26 to make the schedule but that seems extremely late. Also I applied as a BAIT major but want to switch to Finance, how do I officially switch over?
