Never Underestimate the Rogue, or Why Trolls Are Adventurer Fodder
Be me, Kobold Sorceror
Party decides to go troll hunting so we can give their blood away
Reach lair, two of the party decide to head back
This includes our cavalier, who undisputably is the strongest member of the party
Party now consists of me, the elf wizard, the human shaman, and the elf rogue
None of these trolls are particularly strong
Despite being a scrawny kobold I have respectable martial prowess
Laugh as trolls are unable to pierce 24 AC while I coat them in acid
Spot a cave and descend into it
Kill more trolls, only to be charged by what can aptly be described as a troll ettin
I almost immediately get killed by the troll, get put to 3 from 52
Bro rogue pulls me out and Shaman pulls out trump card, black tentacles.
Thank you based lore spirit
Troll is unable to reach us as we pepper him with various fire and acid spells
Rogue drops rapier and shortsword, starts plinking with longbow
This would turn out to be a poor decision, as immediately after troll ettin goes down, another big troll yells
Party tactically retreats all the way back to camp
Go back next day, rogue's melee weapons not where we left them
Rogue has to rely on shitty longbow and sneaking to put out real damage
Find big troll, wizard tells us weapons are in the chest behind him
Fuck it, we fight without the rapier then
Troll calls another big troll and two regular trolls
Should not have gone fuck it
Me and an aurochs the wizard summons take on big meanie and the goons that showed up
Rogue, Wizard, and Shaman take on original big troll.
Rogue does nothing with longbow, and wizard is rolling poorly on damage
Rogue pulls out two arrows and starts shanking the shit out of the troll with them
Troll goes down incredibly easy
Rogue comes over and puts down the three others too
Rogue gets weapons back
Vow to never piss him off
