Postpartum bleeding - TMI

I had my son last night (yay!!) and today I passed a HUGE clot...or something? It was goopy like discharge and dark red. But it was HUGE. Is this normal?

Edit: midwives came over and said it's fine as long as I'm not passing them all the time. It happens because the blood pools in the vagina while sitting or laying down so when you get up it all comes out at once. Also, thanks for all the congrats!
