How should I become a programmer?

It may sound as a shitty question at first but read through this. I am in my final year of my college and just realized that apart from writing code for solving problems like Fibonacci, Prime numbers ad stuff like that, I have learnt nothing about programming. I see around me and find people working on these big 'projects', designing softwares. And here I am writing a code to print a pattern.

I am good at coding. I mean I can easily solve the problems I face easily than my peers. And I want to learn more. I want to make projects. I also want to design softwares.

So how should I do that?
