Do you still use plain kanthal?

EDIT: by "plain kanthal" I mean single strand kanthal.

just curious about what sort of wire for builds other vapers are using nowadays. I have tons of plain kanthal (24/26/28 etc gauge which I am happy to sell/give away for a few bucks) which I almost never use beyond an occasional twisted 26/28 twisted build. I buy spools of clapton or fused clapton wire and that's my go to wire for most builds. Sometimes I buy exotic coils (tiger, fused transformer coil etc) which I typically pick up on ebay/fasttech for a few dollars. For that matter do any of you make your own clapton wire? (for me it's too cheap for a 15 ft spool to bother with drills and pliers and all that).

Never got into temp control although all my mods have that feature. I build SS clapton coils from SS spools although I don't use in temp control mode.
