Game stuck at 120.. FPS

So recently for no apparent reason the game is stuck at 120 FPS after running at 300 since the release of the game All settings tried and changed in game (and nvidia control panel) without any luck.

Running it on a 6700k / gtx 1080 / 16gb RAM / ASUS PG279Q

Anyone else encountered this issue and know how to solve it?
