Disabling the music?

So, I'm trying to disable the music by turning down the volume in the options menu, but when I try to leave the options menu, I get only two options "return to options menu" or "Exit options without saving". There doesn't appear to be an accept button or anything like that in the menus that I can see.

How do I save the options after I make changes? is there an INI file I can edit to do the same thing?
