Is CS:GO still full of cheaters/hackers?

I've been planning on buying CS:GO for a while, so I can enjoy my 144hz monitor with the game, but I always hear how there is always at least one cheater in ranked.

I don't like to play any game casually, so I'd spam ranked. Is the hacker problem still that bad ? I think the game being so cheap doesn't help the problem.
