Is 980ti enough for 3440x1440?

I want to purchase the PG348Q but don't know if I will have to upgrade my card soon if I get a 3440x1440 monitor. Should I get a 1440p monitor with a 980ti or not?

EDIT: Thanks guys! I decided to go for it and a VESA wall mount with it!
