Smoked for the first time yesterday.

As you can tell by the title, Ismoked yesterday, but i didn't get high. i did it with 5 friends. first i got like .3 and the we got some backwoods and shared a gram between the 5 of us. All of my friends got high but i didn't. I don't know if i wasn't inhaling proper or was this normal?
